  Scott MacAulay

Scott MacAulay was a familiar face at our Dunedin Highland Games, and he will be missed.

He was one of the world's best-known pipers and he became the founding Director of The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1990.  Scott adjudicated, taught and performed extensively throughout the United States, Scotland, New Zealand and Canada.

Scott has many achievements and credits to his name.  He won many North American and Scottish solo piping competitions and received awards for innovative teaching and composing.

His abilities and his passion for teaching were best evidenced in the high success rate of his pupils on the international solo piping and pipe band circuits.

Perhaps the greatest achievement in Scott's piping career was heading a team that positioned The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in Summerside as a leading international centre for excellence in Celtic performing arts education.
